    Day 1 Arrive Rome | Ancient Rome Segway tour

    Welcome to Rome!! On arrival at Rome you will clear customs and collect your bags. You will be transferred to the hotel on private vehicle. Check in the hotel (early check in not guaranteed) . Afternoon discover the most popular tour of Rome by Segway. You will travel up and down the most beautiful Rome seven famous hills, covering must see sights such as the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, the Roman Forum and Mouth of Truth. Your tour leader will start with a 30 minute training session to help you get comfortable on your Segway. You will imagine young Romans racing their chariots, Benhur-style, at Circus Maximus (Circo Massimo) while enjoying a view of the Palatine Hill. From here, we will easily ride up the Aventine Hill and discover its off-the-beaten track terraced gardens leading on to Rome best panoramic views. We will even visit the famous keyhole of Rome Knights of Malta. It is just one of the many surprises that await you on your Ancient Rome Segway Tour. Put your honesty on trial at the Mouth of Truth (Bocca della Verita), the enormous Ancient Roman drain cap that was made famous by Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. If your hand survives the test of truth, we will make our way over to the Roman Forum where we will roll around the perimeter of Rome most important archeological park, enjoying incredible views over ruins, columns and ancient temples. A sure highlight is the Capitoline Hill, where we will admire Michelangelo Piazza and the stunning panorama over the forums. We will drive over to our final stop: the Colosseum.     Day 2 Rome | Vatican City tour |

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today morning depart to visit the Vatican in your chauffer driven private vehicle. As the tour begins, we pass through Piazza della Repubblica with the Fountain of the Nayads and following the ancient Aurelian walls which once surrounded the ancient city. From Piazza del Popolo where you will see an Egyptian obelisk dating back to the time of Ramses II. Finally, on arrival at the Vatican Walls, your local guide will then lead you into the Vatican Museums taking the beautiful Spiral staircase and continuing through the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Geographical Maps before arriving in the famous Sistine Chapel with its magnificent fresco of the Last Judgement by Michelangelo, at the end of the tour time free to visit the St. Peter's Basilica. After the tour you will be dropped back to the hotel. Rest of the day is free. Overnight in Rome hotel. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner (Pizza)

    Day 3 Rome | Full day Excursion to Pompeii and Naples

    After breakfast, depart early today to visit Pompeii and Naples. Leaving Rome in a southerly direction, we take the Highway of the Sun crossing the fertile Roman countryside. This is approximately halfway along the highway, you will be able to see the Abbey of Montecassino, noted for the famous battle and complete destruction during the Second World War. Descending towards the port of Mergellina and following the coastal road, we arrive in the ancient fishing quarter of Santa Lucia and see the impressive Castel dell'Ovo (photo stop). The city tour continues crossing the historical centre to see Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, the Gallery of Umberto I and the imposing Maschio Angioino. Upon leaving the city, we cross the fertile valley of Mount Vesuvius, before finally arriving at Pompeii, where we stop first for lunch. After that we will visit the excavations on foot with a local guide on an archaeological journey through the ancient city. In apporx. 2 hours you will see some of what has been discovered in more than 1,700 years since Pompeii was covered by ashes during the eruption of Vesuvius in the year 79 AD. We can picture the everyday life of the Imperial Age and imagine the panic felt by the people in those last few minutes before the city was so disastrously buried. At the end of the visit to Pompeii we will return to the vehicle for a journey of approx. 3 hours back to Rome. During this excursion we will visit a coral and cameo factory where we will have the opportunity to admire and purchase items of this ancient craft.     After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Florence. Eroute visit Assisi and Basilca of Saint Frances. Visit the Basilica constructed over St. Francis’ tomb. After Mass at the Basilica, Later visit the Church of St. Clare, where St. Clare lies in repose. Here too we see the original ‘San Damiano’ crucifix that spoke to Francis, urging him to “rebuild My Church.” After the tour you will return back to the vehicle and transfer back to the hotel.     Day 5 Florence | Visit Pisa

    After breakfast, you will check out and go onwards to visit the Pisa. Pisa is one of the most visited cities in Tuscany and it is famous for its Leaning Tower. The beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli is among the most beautiful monumental complexes in the world. The town's most prosperous period was undoubtedly the 12th century and this is witnessed by the urban shape of the old town centre with many buildings, squares and alleyways that run along the river Arno, which was for centuries the major communication route. It has always been an estuary town and was already an important naval base in Roman times intensifying trade in the Mediterranean. Pisa is also famous for one of the most prestigious higher learning institutions of Europe: the Scuola Normale Superiore. Visit of the interior of the Cathedral and the exterior of the Leaning Tower and Monumental Cemetery. Have free time to wonder in the square and take plenty of pictures. Return to the hotel after the tour. Overnight in Florence hotel. Meals: Breakfast

    Evening Venice Gondola ride After breakfast, check out and transfer to Venice. Drive to city of Bologna which one of the best preserved historic centre of Italy and is home to oldest university in the western world of Alma Mater Studio rum founded in 1088. The central street of the city are largely pedestrainized and follow the grid pattern of the early Roman Settlement. The region has a fine gastronomic reputation as well. Leave historic Bologna for ferrara a town of broad streets and numerous palaces. In its centre is the Castello with four towers surrounded by a moat. Onwards the journey now takes you the picturesque city of Padua with its dense network of arcade street opening onto a large communal piazza. Later drive onwards to Venice – city of water. Check in the hotel and freshen up. Later in evening join a flotilla of Gondolas gathered around a barge containing the Musicians and Singers to float along the fascinating Grand Canal, glittering in the reflection of the illuminated facades of the sumptuous Palazzos. Return in the dark stillness of some of Venice's interior canals. Return back to the hotel. Overnight in Venice hotel. Meals: Breakfast

    After breakfast, today you will depart for the half day tour. Sailing past the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant'Elena and the famous Lido beach resort, the boat arrives in Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Here we stop for around 40 minutes to visit to one of the factories. The second stop is at the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its lace but also for the fishermen's houses painted in bright colours. The stop will last about 30 minutes. Then after a short cruise, we reach Torcello, the earliest centre of civilization in the estuary. Only the Cathedral with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca remain as testimony of its former glory. The stop will be for about 30 minutes then we return to St.Mark's Square. You will also visit the glass factory. After the tour you will be enjoy lunch(on own). Later in afternoon enjoy the walking tour of Venice. Have a walk outdoors through the most characteristic and important places for the history of Venice. An essential tour for the understanding of Venice! Route: Piazza San Marco - Origins, history and description of the main monuments: Basilica San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, Bell Tower, Clock Tower and Procuratie. Santa Maria Formosa - History and anecdotes related to this wonderful and characteristic square. Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo - The Pantheon of Venice, the Great School of Charity, the Captains of fortune. Marco Polo's House and Malibran Theatre. Anecdotes and past and recent history cross each other in this beautiful corner of Venice.     After breakfast, check out and transfer onwards to Milan. Enroute explore Verona walking tour. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the historical center to see Verona's Roman ruins, enchanting churches and architectural gems from all periods. Listen to your local guide's stories about Verona's remarkable urban structure, which has been outstandingly preserved over thousands of years, lending to the historical center's UNESCO World Heritage status. Arrive at Verona Arena, a Roman amphitheater built in 30 AD, and admire it's architecture from the outside. This one of the best preserved structures of its kind. Learn about the damage, destruction, repairs and renovations that the arena has seen over the centuries. Hear stories about its grand arena, and discover how it once held some 30,000 spectators for its bloody games and performances. Today, the arena is internationally acclaimed for its large-scale opera performances, most notably the Verona Arena Festival (Arena di Verona Festival), a summer opera festival. Imagine the excitement of thousands of fans sitting on the tiered stone seats amid the candle-lit arena as some of the world's most highly acclaimed opera singers perform on center stage. After learning about Verona Arena and taking photos outside, continue your tour visiting Juliet's House (Casa di Giulietta) and its famous Balcony, the house that inspired Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and then follow your guide back to Piazza Erbe and Ponte Pietra to conclude your tour. You will be driven along the Promenade des Anglais, the most famous sea-side road. You will also take a look at the Russian Orthodox Cathedral, a master piece. Then, you can visit either the Chagall or Matisse museums, located in the Cimiez area, near a beautiful rose garden. Next, you will climb up to Nice castle ruins for an amazing panoramic view overlooking the Angels Bay, as well as the very much Italian alike Port de Nice.     After breakfast, today you will depart to visit the French Riviera region. Drive up to Mont Alban, with its splendid views over Nice and Villefranche. Then on to Eze, a typical French medieval village, famous for perfume making. You will have the chance to visit one of the perfume factories to see how the local scents are made. From there, we travel the Principality of Monaco to see Old Monaco, the Cathedral, changing of the guards at noon and the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix Circuit. Then to St Paul de Vence, the jewel of Provence, where you will appreciate the artistic atmosphere. From scenic St Paul de Vence, we drive to Antibes, to see the old town, and marvel at the enormous yachts moored at 'Billionaires' Quay'. Our final visit of the day is to Cannes, where we visit the 'Croisette' to see the prints of some of the famous actors who have come to Cannes for the film festival.     After breakfast, check out and depart to Marseilles. Driving along the docks between the Rhone river and the medieval walls, you will enter Avignon: the majestic city of the Popes. Take a look at Saint-Benezet bridge, famous for the children's song "Sur le Pont d'Avignon", and see the Popes' Palace which is the biggest gothic style palace in Europe (entrance tickets not included). Discover the wines of the Rhone river valley in the village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape.. Drive to the Pont du Gard, best preserved remains of a Roman aqueduct which supplied water to the city of Nimes. The tour continues toward the Alpilles mountain range. Located on a rocky spur overlooking the valley, the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence will guide you to an unforgettable journey into the past.
