Pension Hertenstein was built 150 years ago on the idyllic Hertenstein peninsula in Weggis. Already in the first years the house was allowed to accommodate prominent guests. These included the English Queen Victoria, the Bavarian King Ludwig II and the American writer Mark Twain - who named the peninsula as the most beautiful spot on earth.
